Anything interesting on the way I should know about? I checked RoadsideAmerica, other than a site or two in Jax I couldn't see much.

Haha, I'm talking more like off-the-highway oddballs like giant gator statues and picturesque parks.

Nice, do any car things in the area? I'm actually headed to Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, not looking forward to the drive at all.

I didn't know any car things happened here? My buddy just got a brand new 2014 Si and he told me he went to a meet down by the wharf, but I have a pretty lame car so I didn't bother to go.

Stop by Cocoa Beach and check out Ron Jon's Surf Shop, even if you don't care about surfing.

I see that your route completely evades this area. Good. It's a hellhole.

Driving through Orlando is indeed hell, sir. I occasionally do take I-75 so that I can visit my UCF buddies.

Could you do Bugs Bunny a favor and drive this?
His arms have to be worn out:)

You'll be within 5 miles of me, but your already maybe 15 miles away. If you are a Top Gear fan, the spot where they try to paint the most offensive things possible on each others cars, is across the I10 bridge in Bagdad. Also, Ponce de Leon Springs isn't far off the interstate and Defuniak Springs is a neat little town to drive through. Is there any particular reason you are taking I10? Taking 90 through north Florida is a pretty decent drive for Florida.

And only kidding. Amazing how long you can drive and never leave the state.

thanks for the tips. I'm talking I10 because its faster, I have to be in Jax by a certain time and PSL by 5, so I was just looking for some quick detours for interesting sites.

Ah, the meet down by the wharf is always... interesting. Lots of people though, just a lot of rice as well. There's autocrosses every month either in Dothan or Mobile depending on which way to want to drive, and there's a Cars and Coffee thing in Fort Walton once a month that has pretty decent turn out(for this area).

Two questions. Will they let me autocross my Panther? And do these autocrosses have websites?

As long as:
A) your battery is properly tied down
B) wheels are decently attached
And yes, http://www.sccawiregrass.org/ and http://www.gulfcoastregionscca.org/ although finding them on the Facebook is typically better for finding out about events.
